【写法指要】

1）本文对两方面的情况作了对比：一是福建今昔的对比；二是两种职业的对比。第二段和第三段的前半部分是第一种情况的比较，第三段后半部分和第四段是第二种情况的比较。所以，第三段是过渡段，即由第一种情况向第二种情况的过渡；这种过渡显得很自然。

2）从对比方式看，本文采用的是交替型（th ssaw pattrn）对比。所谓交替型对比分析，就是把比较双方的句子交织起来写，其典型结构是：A…, but B…。

3）本文作者出于对自己家乡的热爱，文中把自己所在省份名称的代词用“sh”表示，这是一种拟人手法。
